Fellowship and Congregational Care
Fellowship
The social life of the church is under the
guidance of the
Fellowship
Committee, a very active committee, indeed.
The Fellowship Committee are the
people to
thank for the Wednesday night dinners, the Fall picnic, the
meals prior to the Courtyard Concerts, and many other events
that bring us together to enjoy
each other's companionship in a
Christian-based environment.
We do like to have fun!
Congregational Care
Under
Congregational
Care, we have a Shepherds Committee
which is responsible for outreach to our congregation. We want
to stay in close contact with our shut-ins, persons who have been
away due to illness or other reasons. We keep in close contact
with members of our congregation to make sure they are well or
just to say Hello! We also use this committee to get news out to
our members about births, deaths, or other news.
When the Senior Shepherd gets news of something,
they then call the members of the committee, all shepherds, who
in turn call their lieutenant Shepherds, who then call their
lambs. We have approximately 20 shepherds and each shepherd has
a defined list of members they are to call. Each shepherd is
also someone else's lamb so no one is left out.
